Twisty Polyhedra and Such

Over the years, there have been many variations on the Rubik's Cube type puzzle where elements held within the puzzle can be rearranged. There are also custom versions made by enthusiasts, some of which (both the person and the item) have become well-known in the puzzle collecting community. The table below shows some of the items I will add to my collection as serendipity permits.

Tony Fisher's Golden Cube
A Skewb mod - uniform color, but every piece is different.

Meier-Halpern Pyramid
Ton Dennenbroek's site has building info.

Trajber's Octahedron
This is actually a cube mod, but every piece must be changed. The 4-part tips were the centers, the triangles were the corners. Can you visualize it?

Christoph's Magic Jewel
A truncated octahedron. The original has decorations on the ends.
